Wax Block
For exact placement of distressed lines and edges use the wax distressing block .
It's simple! Just press the wax along the edges where you would like to see the distressed antiquing effect between layers of paint, or over your first coat of stain, and in between each layer of paint. Anything that is applied on top of the waxed areas will resist the paint.
You will notice this resist once you are giving your piece a light sanding at the end of your application of all layers of paint.
Why is this so awesome? So many times when distressing it is easy to sand right through all the layers- this prevents this from happening! The stain or paint underneath the wax will remain in place, and any paint applied on top of the wax will come off effortlessly, allowing for the perfect distressed look.
